To facilitate the development of technically proficient leaders through competition, community awareness, and peer governance, in a healthcare oriented environment.
Mission
To provide health science students with the opportunity to develop technical and leadership skills in a respective health care career, and therefore augment and enhance our existing health care community with compassionate, efficient, and self-sufficient individuals focused on quality health care.
What is HOSA?
HOSA, or Future Health Professionals, is a nationally recognized organization focused on providing opportunities to students interested in a healthcare career.
There are four main focuses within the UCHS Chapter:

- Competition- State Competition in the Spring in respective leadership and health science events.
- Community Service/Awareness- Community service projects oriented towards the health care community.
- Fundraising and Marketing- Very extensive fundraising opportunities to raise money for competition and for non-profits.
- Leadership Experience and Career Exposure- Presentations from health care professionals and opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities.
